The foundation for a Shade Sail Structure is critical when it comes to safety and proper use. We highly recommend using the stamped engineered drawing guidelines to determine what size foundation to build and consulting with an engineer.
So, when considering a Shade Sail Structure, be sure to factor in a professional installation (recommended) as part of your investment. We'd rather you overbuild than under build!
We recommend you hire a professional contractor or a person with construction experience. The Shade Sail Structure totals at around 400 lbs and foundational security is key.
The shade does not need to be taken off in a thunderstorm due to our structure's ability to handle high load winds! However, with any outdoor sail/canopy structure, use reasonable discretion when faced with inclement weather.
Most able-bodied adults can easily unlock, pivot the sail to the desired direction and re-lock.

Absolutely! Installing two or more structures strategically beside each other can create an overlap for ample shade coverage.
Shade sails come in many different colors and can be chosen to compliment the aesthetics of its surroundings!
We highly recommend removing the sail from the structure if you know a high winds storm is coming, especially a hurricane or tornado. If you live where there is significant snow fall in winter, removing the sail would be required.
An 8-foot stepladder is required to remove the sail fabric. Set up the ladder and unhook one of the three turnbuckles that holds each side to the structure. Then fabric will easily come right off after each corner turnbuckle is undone. It takes 5 to 10 min to take fabric down.
Fold up sail fabric and store in dry place until next use. Demonstration video coming soon!
